A double reason for joy! [20.11.24]
We are delighted to announce that our two PhD candidates, Sarah Straub and Ronny Ehlen, have successfully completed their doctorates! After intensive years of research, sweat and many cups of coffee, they can now celebrate their graduation.[In her dissertation, Sarah Straub used the example of professional drivers to examine the central role of human factors in the digital and highly automated working environment, opening up new perspectives on the design of humane workplaces in the context of digitalization.
Ronny Ehlen has investigated triadic working relationships between highly qualified freelancers, companies and mediating agencies in the medical and IT sectors. On this basis, he supplements Mark Granovetter's embeddedness approach with the concept of active embedding practices.
