When psychology meets sociology: interdisciplinary publication on the "Twin Transition in Practice"  [16.05.24]

Joint publication of the Department of Sociology, the Department of Business and Organizational Psychology and the Department of Sustainable Development and Change

In the journal Group. Interaction. Organization. Zeitschrift für angewandte Organisationspsychologie the article on "Twin transition in practice: How digital technologies promote employee green behavior" has been published.

The article asks how the use of digital technologies can promote employee green behavior. It is argued that this is possible indirectly, in that digital technologies can promote employees' psychological ownership on the one hand and perceived organizational support for the environment on the other - both of which are essential prerequisites for employee green behavior. The article further examines the characteristics that digital technologies must show to do so and provides practical examples and recommendations for their use in organizations.

Under the lead of Jasmina Veit, the article was elaborated jointly by Caroline Ruiner and Ronny Ehlen (Department of Sociology), Ulrike Fasbender (Department of Business and Organizational Psychology) and Siegmar Otto (Department of Sustainable Development and Change).
