Between Practice and Research: Conference on the Democratization of Work in the Realm of Transfer Research    [02.01.26]

Our paper “Democratic organization of mobility? Cooperatives of self-employed workers in the transport of persons and goods between representative and direct industrial democracy” examines the forms of industrial democracy that are emerging in cooperative courier, express, service, and taxi companies. The paper was written as part of the DFG research project “Cooperatives as new labor market organizations for external workers – revitalizing economic democracy?” and will be presented by Birgit Apitzsch, Martin Möller (both Ruhr University Bochum), and Niels Grote. The EuroDem Conference is organized as part of the research project "Workplace democracy: a European ideal? Discourses and practices about the democratization of work after 1945" (EURO-DEM)
