SASE 2026 Conference  [10.03.26]

The Chair of Sociology is contributing two papers to this year’s SASE Annual Conference 2026 in Bordeaux.

At the conference, which will be hosted by Sciences Po Bordeaux, the chair will present two current research projects that advance debates on professions, AI, and sustainable transformation:<o:p></o:p>

  • Mateja Vodiskar, Sarah Straub, and Caroline Ruiner will present their paper “Reimagining Professional Expertise: How Artificial Intelligence Reshapes Meaningful Work in Medicine and Law” in Network D: Professions and Expertise.<o:p></o:p>
  • Ronny Ehlen and Caroline Ruiner will present their paper “From Waste to Value: (Re-)Valuing Waste in Re- and Upcycling Organisations” in Network I: Alternatives to Capitalism.
